WeConnect Adult Class Descriptions
Ladies – Great Conversations
Facilitated by Jodi McCaghren
Location: S203
Coffee and Conversation invites women to wind down together by reading a brief devotional from Proverbs 31 Ministries and sharing insights in a relaxed, supportive setting. This class offers connection across generations and a chance to grow in wisdom through shared experiences and Scripture.
Ladies' Mentoring Class
Facilitated by Sandra Owens
Location: S204
Description: Using the Flourish workbook, we will discuss the weekly content from the workbook and have time for mentors and mentees to connect.
Bible in a Year Men’s Discussion Group
Facilitated by Chris Pamperin
Location: S206 (Men’s Class)
Description: Each Wednesday we’ll gather to reflect on the past week’s Bible in a Year readings. Together we’ll share what stood out, how God spoke to you through the passages, and the themes or questions that surfaced along the way. This class is a space for honest conversation, mutual encouragement, and deeper engagement with Scripture as we journey through the entire Bible over the course of the year.
Unbreakable Courage
Facilitated by Steve Crigger
Location: S201/202
Description: Does a day without difficult news seem out of reach? In Unbreakable Courage, a book and RightNow series by Max Lucado, today’s headlines and the truth of Scripture intersect as we take a fresh look at the story of Elijah. In this series, learn how you can stand strong day by day in the face of turbulent times, regardless of the challenging circumstances you may face. With God’s help and following Elijah’s inspiring example, you will discover the strength to face the challenges of this life and the courage to make a difference.
Chair Caning Class
Facilitated by Jim Vann
Location: Fellowship Hall
Description: Learn a new talent that you can use to serve God by serving others. Chair caning involves weaving strands of cane into a chair frame to form a supportive and visually appealing seat or backrest. This technique has been used for centuries and is popular for restoring antique chairs or creating new furniture with a classic look. All supplies for the class will be provided. We do have a few chairs available for those interested.
