The original mission of the Hacienda of Hope in 2003 was to provide a home for the abandoned children of Ecuador. There are currently 50 children being served by the orphanage. The Hacienda has already served hundreds of children who would have otherwise lived in the streets. We have been blessed to witness them being transformed by God’s love. God’s call to serve the children of the region led us to the establishment of a school, Hope Christian Academy. This bilingual school quickly developed a reputation in the region for excellence while providing spiritual enrichment to our kids at the Hacienda, as well as, an additional 220 students from the surrounding communities along with their families.
Amazing progress continues to be made as we have completed Casa Esther, a home of teenage mothers. Teenage pregnancy is a serious issue in Ecuador and the mothers often have little hope of providing for these precious babies. In this way, the Hacienda of Hope continues our focus of finding ways to support the children of Ecuador and thus demonstrating the love of Jesus through our actions.
