His Way -
With alcoholism and drug addiction growing to epidemic proportions in America, God placed a vision on the hearts of two men in Huntsville, Alabama, to provide a Christ-centered solution to this problem. After completing a Christian-based recovery program, Doug Stogner wanted to begin something like he had experienced in his home town of Huntsville. In March of 2007, he and a few friends began what has come to be known as His Way. With a grand vision but limited resources, God brought Doug into contact with Clyde Jones who with a similar vision had recently acquired a beautiful three acre residential facility in northeast Huntsville. Clyde offered the thirteen bedroom, two-story residence to Doug to house His Way’s ministry. In June of 2007, His Way opened its doors to the community and invited men passionate for recovery to come discover Jesus’ way to complete wholeness. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, His Way continues to offer Christ-centered recovery to men throughout North Alabama.
First Stop exists not to just serve the homeless and make them more comfortable, but to help them out of homelessness. Their clients have suffered and endured an enormous amount of pain. They are faced with daily challenges, and in many cases, have lost hope. There are no easy answers or solutions, but a problem as complex and diverse as homelessness must be met with comprehensive solutions. First Stop's team of Case Managers work one-on-one with homeless clients to identify obstacles, set goals, and partner with other agencies and community organizations to create a realistic plan for meaningful growth and change.

Rainbow Omega-
Rainbow Omega's name means "hope in the end" and is derived from the Biblical references to the rainbow (which stands for hope) and Omega (the last letter of the Greek alphabet). The vision of the founders was to provide a sheltered community for adults with developmental disabilities and to provide parents an answer to the question "What will happen to my child when I can no longer provide care in my home?" One of our parents put it best when she said, “Rainbow Omega is an answer to a prayer that I didn’t know how to pray.” Mission: To glorify God by ensuring that adults with developmental disabilities have a permanent and safe home where their abilities and potentials are respected and nurtured in a Christian environment. Vision: Rainbow Omega will be a non-institutional environment that instills both a family and a community atmosphere where residents experience quality standards of care while enabling them to grow spiritually and to have productive, joy-filled and independent lives.
