Wedding Shower: There will be a wedding shower honoring Riley Shrode and his fiancee, Melanie Chambers, TODAY, Sunday, August 16th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm in the Whitesburg Lobby. Riley is the son of Tim & Lori Shrode. Riley and Melanie are registered at Melanie Chambers and Riley Shrode's Wedding Website - The Knot.
First Stop: We would love to have you join us at 6:30am Tuesday morning to make breakfast for some of our neighbors who are without homes and food. It takes less than 2 hours, there are no special skills required, and we could use your help! As a reminder, if you are coming to help, due to construction, you will need to enter through the Church office doors. Hope to see you!
Baby Shower: There will be a baby shower for Sarah and Trent McLemore next Sunday, August 23rd from 1:00pm to 2:00pm in the Whitesburg Lobby. Sarah is the daughter of Carol Williams. LIFT Progressive Dinner: Ladies, you are invited to a Progressive Dinner Party for appetizers, dinner & dessert on Tuesday, September 8th at 5:30pm on Rothmore Drive. Update on Restart of Adult Classes (Sundays & Wednesdays): Construction is making good progress in the gym and adult wing. The HVAC system in the Adult wing is being totally replaced. The HVAC equipment has finally arrived and they are actively installing, but this is an extensive update, and the wing will not be ready for an August restart of classes. We do believe it will be ready at the start of September, so we have planned the following for Sunday Adult Classes and WeConnect:
Sunday Morning Adult Class
We will continue with a single Adult class in the Fellowship Hall during the month of August with the following schedule of teachers:
August 16, 23 & 30 – Jody & Lisa Vickery will facilitate a 3 Sunday series titled “The Care and Keeping of a New Preacher”
We hope to resume Sunday Morning Adult Classes September 6.
WeConnect (Wednesday Nights)
WeConnect classes/offerings will not meet on Wednesdays in August. We will delay the start of Wednesday night programs until September 2.
TYM on Wednesdays - TYM will resume on August 12th with the regular hangouts at 4:00pm, class at 6:30pm, and pickup at 7:30pm.

Sunday Morning: See you at 9:00AM this morning as Chloe Handley wraps up our Pass it On series. Come here what God has put on her heart!
Sunday Night: Throwback Night: This Sunday night, from 5:30-7:30, John and Chelsea Dodson are helping ya'll throw it all the way back to the early 2000's. Feel free to dress up like we did back in the day and come enjoy some not-so-ancient games (Ships and Sailors, Four on a Couch, etc...) that we used to play. Should be fun for all, so bring a friend!
Wednesday Night: See you on Wednesday at 4:00 for a time of games and snacks. At 6:30, we'll continue our Creation To Christ series! Pick up is at 7:30.
On the Horizon: August 23rd is our Wacky Tacky Welcome party for the incoming 6th graders so get excited for that! Start planning your wacky tacky costumes now! Prizes will be awarded for wackiest costumes! On August 30th, we will have a parent meeting immediately following service. Please come find out what's going on in the TYM!
