Appreciative Inquiry – Qualities of the Next Preaching Minister: Our current preaching minister, Jody Vickery, announced his retirement at the end of 2026 and we are implementing our succession plan to select a new preaching minister. Appreciative Inquiry sessions will give members an opportunity to provide input on the kind of preacher we want to join us. These sessions are not focused on specific candidates, but on the gifts, talents, aptitudes and abilities we would like to see in the next preacher at Twickenham. Results from these sessions will be assimilated and reported to the congregation. After that, we will begin the search for a new preaching minister. Sessions will be held on Sunday mornings during class time (January 18 – February 22) and will start promptly at 9:00am in room S205. Please select the session which you would like to attend at the following link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0F48A9A82DA4F58-61419578-appreciative. You only need to attend one session.
ReConnect Marriage Weekend: Twickenham will be hosting a ReConnect Marriage Weekend on February 27-28, 2026, led by Owen and Lauren Mitchell. The ReConnect weekend is a marriage seminar designed to bring couples closer together by focusing their attention on their relationship spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Emphasizing transformative principles, ReConnect uses a combination of lecture, short videos, small group activities, individual couple activity, and humor. The information and interaction encourage couples with a new vision and gives them tools to build a marriage that enriches their relationship and honors God’s intent for marriage. Schedule: Friday February 27 – 6:00-9:00 pm (Dinner at 5:00 pm) & Saturday February 28 – 9:00 am-12:30 pm (Breakfast at 8:15 am). Cost is $60/couple (Includes dinner and breakfast). Sunday Morning Classes:
Tame Your Thoughts, Teacher: Daniel Kaufmann, Location: S201/S202
Description: Have you been feeling weighed down by worry? Or caught up in a web of self-critical thoughts? The good news is that with God’s help, you can learn to renew your mind, break free from negative patterns, and become a little more like Jesus every day. This Bible study explores Scripture-based tools for managing your thoughts. In this study, we will discuss video series led by Max Lucado and Kyle Idleman on the topics of taming our thoughts and holding ever thought captive.
Sacred Intimacy: A Biblical View of Sex, Teacher: Melanie Basham, Location: S203 (Women's Class)
Description: Statistics show that our first ideas about sex are formed by media. Even if you didn't know this statistic, you probably know this to be true from your own experience. This class will be a forum to reframe what we have learned about sex from a cultural view to a biblical view. We will explore sex as a reflection of sacred intimacy and how a biblical view of sex can help us conquer guilt, shame, and idolatry. Whether you are single or have been married for many decades, this class is for you!
Description: Paul’s letters to Timothy and Titus, also known as the Pastoral Epistles, are often neglected in church studies. But in addition to giving us keen insights into the lives of three important first-century leaders, they highlight some important doctrines of our faith and offer relevant guidance for the church in any age.
Jacob: Becoming Israel, Teacher(s): Dan Beasley & Stuart Whiting, Location: Fellowship Hall
Description: A surprising yet often overlooked story of a flawed man chosen by God, Jacob’s life is marked by struggle, failure, and grace. Join us as we explore how God patiently shapes faith through wrestling and promise.

Hearing Assistance: Hearing Assistance is now available with your bluetooth device! You can connect to our network or the Listen app via that QR codes above.

Then, we'll be making cards for Daniel Blackmon, a 2 year old child who was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer; his parents are college friends of Adam and Sarah's. Come share the love and make a card to brighten his day. We'll also use this time to announce this summer's interns!
