Church Leadership

An occasional series about elders, deacons and other leadership roles at Twickenham. We usually touch on this topic when we are about to consider new leaders.

Who Will Lead Us?
The most important question an organization can answer is this: Who will lead us? The Apostle Paul helps us answer that question by describing the qualities the church should look for in its leaders.
Looking for Leaders
Twickenham is in the process of adding some additional elders to our leadership team. It is a season for critical thought and constant prayer. Of course, we think the Bible has something to say about the kind of leaders we should be looking for. This week, we’ll take a trip back to a moment in ancient history when leadership was corrupt, ineffective and just flat broken. Wait . . . that actually sounds kind of relevant given what pops up every day in our newsfeeds.

Why Our Members Chose Twickenham

Although we were coming from a more conservative background, we quickly noticed that there was an openness and sense of welcoming that made us feel very at ease. We embrace fully what seems to be an environment of healing for the broken. We believe in moving from maintenance to mission. We have been impressed by the engaged nature of the shepherds, staff and membership.

I want to learn more about God’s Word and hold Him close in my heart. Twickenham seems to be able to guide me by offering similar perspectives to which I can relate as well as unique views that open my mind.

I was very impressed with the love, compassion and how sincere the worship is.
