Over thirty years ago, two young men broke into an abandoned medical clinic in a town in Brazil. They stole a derelict cancer therapy machine and sold it for scrap to a junk dealer. The junk dealer took the machine apart and discovered a steel cylinder filled with a luminous blue substance that glowed in the dark. His young niece sprinkled some of the material on her arms and face, laughing, dancing and glowing in the Brazilian night. By morning she was sick. In three weeks, she passed away. Three others died. Hundreds were hospitalized. The mysterious substance from the cylinder emitted deadly, radioactive particles. Particles that were invisible.
