Jay Dryden leads the Twickenham Men’s Ministry.  Jon Box is assisting him in providing resources to help develop men who have a strong relationship with God, with their families, and with other men. He will also represent Men’s Ministry on the Connection Council

Spiritual Development is the foundation in our relationship to God and a key element in being loving husbands, faithful fathers, connecting with one another (brothers), developing manly relationships, and growth as Christian leaders.  In that light, we will be rolling out "helps" to assist you in regular practice of the Spiritual Disciplines.  If you’re already practicing, good on you!

The "helps" in the box at right offer Daily Bible Reading Plans and study guides.  They can be tailored to meet your particular needs: some offer plans for reading through the whole Bible in a year, some for reading through the whole New Testament, there are study ideas, etc.  Thanks to NavPress for these ready tools!  Please download and use as applicable.  As we (or you) come across other “helps”, we will endeavor to share additional resources.

The "helps" also include a suggested pdf Twickenham Men’s Bible Memory Verse list for 2017 (462 KB) .  We encourage Bible memorization as an important tool for spiritual growth.  The verses we’ve selected for learning should enable you to become more like Christ, share your faith, and be better sons, husbands, fathers, and mentors.  Some are lengthier — tailor as necessary.

Make copies.  Put one on the mirror you shave at every morning!  Put a copy on your smart phone.  Put one prominently on a wall at work.  Fold up a copy in your wallet.  Put a copy in your Bible.  We’ll look into making sticky notes for you.  Wherever you can’t miss it . . .

"You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up." - Deuteronomy 11:18-19

As always, thanks to NavPress for their tools!  Please download and use as applicable.  Please feel free to engage Jon on this initiative . . .

Why Our Members Chose Twickenham

As someone who has been a member of Twickenham since the beginning, there is no place that I would rather be. I appreciate that we have an eldership that bases decisions on biblical principles rather than tradition. There is a broad spectrum of people who come from different backgrounds than those of us who were raised in the church of Christ and I feel that it has been beneficial. I like that Twickenham has been a part of the community instead of isolating ourselves from other denominations.

The many ministry opportunities that members can find to participate in. The uplifting worship services; the praise team is wonderful! The children's programs. I love that we have young families as well as older members worshipping together!

. . . this church has been a HUGE blessing to our family. When we came to Twickenham, I felt like we were spiritually dying on the vine. Since coming to Twickenham, God has had us on an amazing journey that is sometimes hard and sometimes beautiful - but either way I know we are both diving deeper into Him! Yay!
