Throughout the Old Testament God reveals Himself to his people through various names that help us experience a deeper understanding of His character.  Elohim (Genesis 1:1), Yahweh (Genesis 4:1), El Elyon (Genesis 14:18), Adonai (Genesis 15:2), El Roi (Genesis 16:3) and El Shaddai (Genesis 17:1) are just a few of these names.  After we share a meal, our devotional portion of Dinner and Devo will center on these names, their importance to those to whom they were revealed in the Old Testament and why they still have value for us today.

Our first Dinner and Devo will be on Wednesday, June 7th.  Dinner will be served at 5:45 pm, followed at 6:30 pm by our devotional.  There will be classes for children and youth during the devotional time.

Dinner tickets are available in the church office and in the adult education lobby beginning on Sunday, May 21st.  Cost will be $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 7-12, and children ages 0-6 eat free.  Season passes will be available as well - $35 for adults and $20 for ages 7-12.  We ask that you purchase/reserve tickets by 2:00pm on Monday each week for that week's meal.

If you are interested in helping with Dinner and Devo (cooking, setup, serving, cleanup, etc.), contact Shannan Bridges by phone at 256-881-7373 or by email.

Why Our Members Chose Twickenham

Although we were coming from a more conservative background, we quickly noticed that there was an openness and sense of welcoming that made us feel very at ease. We embrace fully what seems to be an environment of healing for the broken. We believe in moving from maintenance to mission. We have been impressed by the engaged nature of the shepherds, staff and membership.

I want to learn more about God’s Word and hold Him close in my heart. Twickenham seems to be able to guide me by offering similar perspectives to which I can relate as well as unique views that open my mind.

I was very impressed with the love, compassion and how sincere the worship is.
