Description

IMPACT is a summer event at Lipscomb designed to provide an atmosphere for teens that enables the development of a personal faith, which will impact their world for Christ. IMPACT Senior is for 9th-12th graders. The main focus of IMPACT is Christ. Whether it is through prayer, praise, classes, or the messages of the speakers, IMPACT week has been one that teens cherish. The IMPACT theme is always a mystery till the curtain opens. The theme is developed with varied emphasis on different elements of Christian faith from evangelism and textual studies to spiritual development.

Impact Senior will leave at 3:00pm (please be at the church at 2:30pm) on Monday and return at 11am on Saturday.

Every camper will need to bring $20 for a key deposit.  Key deposit money will be collected when you check in at the church and returned at the end of Impact once your key is turned back in at Lipscomb.

What to bring:

  • Bring a sleeping bag or sheets, pillow, personal items, towels, regular camp clothes, personal spending money, and a Bible.
  • You may also want to bring a tennis racket, ball glove, racquetball racket, frisbee, or a guitar.

Radios, TV's, laser pointers, electronics such as ipods, DVD players, Ipads, computers etc. are not permitted. These items can easily be lost or stolen.

Alcohol, drugs (your counselor should be notified of any prescription drugs you are taking), fireworks, laser pointers, or any type of weapon are not allowed on campus. Any of these items will be taken by an IMPACT Staff person and held until the camper leaves at the end of IMPACT.

Why Our Members Chose Twickenham

As someone who has been a member of Twickenham since the beginning, there is no place that I would rather be. I appreciate that we have an eldership that bases decisions on biblical principles rather than tradition. There is a broad spectrum of people who come from different backgrounds than those of us who were raised in the church of Christ and I feel that it has been beneficial. I like that Twickenham has been a part of the community instead of isolating ourselves from other denominations.

The many ministry opportunities that members can find to participate in. The uplifting worship services; the praise team is wonderful! The children's programs. I love that we have young families as well as older members worshipping together!

. . . this church has been a HUGE blessing to our family. When we came to Twickenham, I felt like we were spiritually dying on the vine. Since coming to Twickenham, God has had us on an amazing journey that is sometimes hard and sometimes beautiful - but either way I know we are both diving deeper into Him! Yay!
