39er's Trip to High Point Restaurant

Description

The July event for the 39er's will be to go to Monteagle, TN for dinner at High Point Restaurant. The restaurant has an interesting history for being the halfway point between Chicago and Miami for Al Capone and John Dillinger to make a stop. The restaurant had escape hatches on the roof and tunnels in the basement to use if they needed to make a quick escape. It has been featured in the "Nashville Tennesean" and is listed on the Register of Historical Places. The restaurant is located in the beautiful South Cumberland State Park. To sign up for this trip and reserve a seat on the bus, contact Shirley Ashburn via email or on 256-508-2850. Seating on the buses is on a first come basis.

Why Our Members Chose Twickenham

Although we were coming from a more conservative background, we quickly noticed that there was an openness and sense of welcoming that made us feel very at ease. We embrace fully what seems to be an environment of healing for the broken. We believe in moving from maintenance to mission. We have been impressed by the engaged nature of the shepherds, staff and membership.

I want to learn more about God’s Word and hold Him close in my heart. Twickenham seems to be able to guide me by offering similar perspectives to which I can relate as well as unique views that open my mind.

I was very impressed with the love, compassion and how sincere the worship is.
