Here are some pictures from today in Panama City. The group picture includes neighbors Gloria and Johnnie that we removed trees on their roofs and then tarped. Johnnie attends the New Glenwood Church of Christ and was thrilled to see Church of Christ on on our trailer although we told here there were also volunteers from Methodist, Baptist and community churches on our team.

Gloria was so happy to get the tree off her house she insisted on cooking us a fantastic fried chicken dinner. We gave both families Lowe’s and Walmart gift cards thanks to the generosity of Twickenham members.

We also started working on the house you can barely see and cleared enough trees to at least access the home with a vehicle.

We completed work on 3 1/2 homes but received new request for help on approximately 15 more primarily from neighbors and friends of those we served. Thanks for all the financial support that makes this possible. And a special thanks to Leigh Ann for cooking us meals including the spaghetti casserole and desserts that everyone loved last night.

Why Our Members Chose Twickenham

This church is a positive, progressive body of believers who accept the normal diversity which exists in any church without trying to force some conformity and/or uniformity of belief or practices based on tradition, opinions, and preferences. Sadly, that is not the norm and thus you may be viewed as "different" by other churches or believers. I view such a difference as a great positive.

The diversity of thought that allows for tolerance of opinion with agreement on the basics of the gospel. The number of missions-minded individuals that are in involved in both foreign and domestic/local ministries.

This church has a large number of very talented members who appear to be highly involved and connected to all aspects of the church body. This church is at a prime location with many talented members and great opportunity to serve this community and beyond.
